The Creek Mesa
Perched amid the red rock vistas of Sedona, The Creek Mesa was shaped around a desire for warmth, flow, and connection to place. The clients envisioned a sanctuary where everyday rituals such as watching the sunrise from bed, hosting family dinners, and enjoying a favorite show in a dedicated media room would be held by views of the surrounding mesas.
At just over 3,600 square feet, the home balances open gathering spaces with private retreats. The entry sequence was carefully designed to address feng shui while welcoming visitors into the heart of the home, where expansive glass frames the landscape beyond. A sheltered patio extends the primary suite toward the south, providing a quiet outdoor refuge. The media room, designed for six, enjoys views without compromising the restful character of the adjacent spaces.
Material selections draw from the region's palette, layering stone, wood, and glass to ground the contemporary form within its environment. Throughout, the design prioritizes flow between inside and out, between communal and intimate, and between the daily patterns of the clients' lives and the beauty of their surroundings.
