A kitchen that doesn't flow, a primary suite that feels like an afterthought, a layout that made sense for a previous owner but not for how your family actually lives — these are design problems, and they have design solutions. A remodel done well doesn't just update a home's appearance. It fixes how the home works.

We approach remodels and additions the same way we approach custom homes: by understanding how you use your space before proposing how to change it. That means asking a lot of questions upfront — about what's frustrating you, what's working, what you wish you had — and letting those answers drive the design.

What we work on

We handle the full range of residential remodel and addition work: kitchen and bath renovations, primary suite additions, whole-house reconfigurations, and additions ranging from modest bump-outs to significant square footage expansions. We also work on accessibility-focused remodels — wider doorways, curbless showers, single-level living reconfigurations — for clients planning ahead for aging in place.
Many of our remodel clients are in Boulder and Boulder County, where older housing stock often has real bones but layouts that don't match how people live today. We're familiar with the permitting landscape across the county's municipalities and unincorporated areas, including the nonconforming structure and setback issues that frequently come up with older homes.

Working with your builder

We work closely with builders throughout the remodel process and are happy to coordinate with a contractor you already have a relationship with. Getting a builder involved during design — even informally — typically leads to better cost estimates and fewer surprises during construction. Every project ends with construction documents detailed enough for permitting and construction, and we're available for construction administration through the build.
