The Lincoln
Old Town Louisville is one of the most character-rich neighborhoods along the Front Range — tree-lined streets, walkable blocks, and homes that have accumulated decades of architectural history. The Lincoln was built on a lot that previously held a small miner's shack, an alley-loaded infill site just blocks from Louisville's downtown.
The design takes its cues from the reserved, traditional character of the surrounding neighborhood while introducing contemporary sensibilities in the details and material choices. The result sits comfortably on the street without mimicking its neighbors — respectful of context without being constrained by it.
Outdoor living is central to the home's appeal. A front courtyard with a metal trellis creates a welcoming entry sequence and a semi-private gathering space between the home and the street. At the rear, a generous entertaining patio takes full advantage of the alley-loaded configuration, where the absence of a front-loaded garage frees up the back of the lot for living.
At 3,790 square feet, the Lincoln was built in partnership with Essex Development.
