Tucker Named April Left Hand Laurel by the Left Hand Valley Courier
We’re proud to share that Tucker was named the Left Hand Valley Courier’s April Left Hand Laurel, an honor recognizing his contributions to the Niwot community over more than two decades.
A path that started as a high school internship
Tucker’s connection to this firm goes back to 2003, when he interned here as a junior at Centaurus High School, back when the firm was still called Olson Architecture under founder Anne Postle. He returned to work with Anne through college summers, rejoined as a project manager after earning his architecture degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2009, and became a licensed architect and full partner alongside Anne in 2022. When Anne retired in 2025, Tucker took over leading both the architecture practice and Osmosis Gallery.
Pro bono work that shaped Niwot
A lot of the recognition centers on projects Tucker and Anne took on pro bono over the years, work that shows up all over town: the Niwot monument sign on Highway 119, the patio at The Old Oak Coffeehouse, The Depot at Whistle Stop Park, the concessions stand at Niwot High School, and the restrooms and storage building at Hangge Fields. The Niwot monument sign remains Tucker’s favorite of the group. It’s the kind of project that put the firm shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the community building the town, not just designing buildings in it.
Still showing up for Niwot
Beyond the firm, Tucker was recently elected to his second term as secretary of the Niwot Business Association, and he’s taken over organizing several of the town’s signature events, including the Why Not Niwot? Juried Art Show, First Friday Art Walks, and Let’s Wine About Winter.
It’s a good reminder of why we do the community work we do. Buildings are part of it. Showing up for the town is the rest of it.
