Shoemaker Residence
Erie Village is one of the more design-intentional neighborhoods along the Front Range — a community with detailed architectural guidelines and a strong commitment to streetscape character. Most homes in the neighborhood draw from Victorian or Craftsman traditions. The Shoemaker Residence took a different direction.
The clients were drawn to the formal symmetry and columned facades of Greek Revival architecture for the exterior, while wanting something altogether different inside — a modern, open interior organized around entertaining. The result is a home that holds its own on the street while feeling contemporary and relaxed from within.
At 2,600 square feet, the main residence is efficiently planned without feeling constrained. The property also includes a detached garage with a 700 square foot ADU above — a configuration available on larger lots within Erie Village and one that adds long-term flexibility for the owners, whether for guests, extended family, or rental income.
A pool completes the outdoor program, reinforcing the home's focus on gathering and entertaining both inside and out.
